November first is a special holiday here in Guatemala to commemorate family members who have died. Families go to the graveyards and bring Fiambre to eat (a meat, beet, olive, cheese salad) while they fly kites and decorate graves. This year I went to the Sumpango Kite Festival, and it was worth the trip!
Wowsers! They are incredible!!! So glad you were able to snap a photo of the spread eagle pig roasting, that I was unable to photograph!
